Andrea Prencipe

Andrea è un affermato leader accademico con circa 30 anni di esperienza.

La sua carriera è iniziata all’Università del Sussex (UK), dove si è affermato come studioso di rilievo internazionale (+10k citazioni), pubblicando in prestigiose riviste come Administrative Science Quarterly e Organization Science. Ha ricoperto incarichi in altre accademie internazionali in diversi paesi (Belgio, Francia, Italia, Paesi Bassi, Norvegia, Regno Unito, Stati Uniti e Vietnam) e nel mondo dell’industria – es. Gruppo Finmeccanica (ora Leonardo Company).

Come Rettore dell’Università Luiss, Andrea ha guidato iniziative trasformative che hanno portato l’istituzione ai vertici delle classifiche internazionali. Sotto la sua leadership, la Luiss ha raggiunto la Top 20 mondiale in Politics and International Studies (QS Ranking) e i suoi corsi di Laurea Magistrale in Management e Corporate Finance sono entrati nella Top 30 mondiale (FT Ranking). Andrea ha raddoppiato le collaborazioni internazionali, triplicato i programmi di doppia laurea e promosso iniziative educative innovative come il programma ACE (America China Europe) – un triplo BA in Business Administration.

Andrea è un visionario nell’innovazione educativa: ha introdotto il modello educativo ‘enquiry-based’, reclutato professori di prestigio internazionale – la core faculty Luiss ora include studiosi provenienti da oltre 20 paesi – ed attratto studenti e studentesse da più di 100 Paesi. Appassionato sostenitore di una formazione interdisciplinare, internazionale e innovativa, Andrea continua a ispirare e guidare iniziative che plasmano il futuro dell’accademia.

Pierre Moscovici

Pierre Moscovici is the First President of the French Cour des comptes since June 3rd, 2020. In this capacity, he also chairs the Budgetary and Financial Discipline Court, the High Council of Public Finance and the Council of Mandatory Contributions.

He holds a postgraduate degree (DEA) in advanced macroeconomics and philosophy and graduated from Sciences Po Paris. He joined the Cour des comptes as a junior audit manager (auditeur) on June 1st, 1984 after graduating from the Ecole nationale d’administration (ENA).

In May 1988, he was appointed technical advisor to the Minister of National Education, Youth and Sport. In September 1990, he became Head of department for public service modernisation and financial resources at the French Planning Office (Commissariat général du Plan).

He was then elected as a Member of the European Parliament in July 1994 and, later, as a Member of the French National Assembly for the department of the Doubs (Eastern part of France close to Switzerland) in June 1997. At that time, he was appointed Minister for European Affairs. He then represented the French authorities at the Convention on the Future of Europe.

He went back to the Court in November 2002, where he became an audit manager (conseiller référendaire) in 2003. He was re-elected Member of the European Parliament in July 2004 and became Vice-President of the European Parliament.

He was re-elected Member of the French National Assembly for the department of the Doubs in June 2007 and again in June 2012. In particular, he presided over the Urban Area of Montbéliard between 2008 and 2012, when he was appointed Minister of Economy and Finances until 2014.

He served as European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs from November 2014 to November 2019, before returning to the Court.

Pierre Moscovici is affiliated professor at Sciences Po Paris and visiting professor at Columbia University in New York and at the College of Europe in Bruges.

Pierre Moscovici was made a Knight (Chevalier) of the Legion of Honour, the highest French order of merit.

Mark Thatcher

Mark Thatcher obtained First Class honours in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Balliol College, Oxford and then qualified as a Barrister in London. After teaching at the Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris, he went to the London School of Economics, where he became full Professor of Comparative and International Politics in 2008. He has also been visiting professor at Sciences Po, Paris and a Fellow of the Robert Schuman Centre, European University Institute.

His research interests lie in comparative public policy and regulation in Europe. At Luiss, he is focused on comparative policies towards cultural heritage. In addition, he works on the governance of markets. He has examined EU competition policy as well as the creation and development of EU agencies and networks.

Sergio Fabbrini

Professore ordinario di Scienza Politica e Direttore del Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche presso la Luiss Guido Carli, dove ha fondato e diretto la School of Government dal 2010 al 2018.

E’ stato Direttore della School of International Studies dell’Università degli Studi Trento dal 2006 al 2009 e Direttore della “Rivista Italiana di Scienza Politica” dal 2004 al 2009. Tra gli altri, è stato Pierre Keller Visiting Professor alla Harvard Kennedy School, Jemolo Fellow presso il Nuffield College di Oxford, Visiting Professor presso la University of California di Berkeley (USA), Jean Monnet Chair Professor presso il Robert Schuman Center for Advanced Studies, European University Institute, Fiesole, Firenze.

Ha pubblicato sedici volumi, è co-autore di un altro volume ed ha curato altri quindici volumi, oltre a quasi trecento saggi scientifici in sette lingue, nei campi della politica comparata ed europea, della politica americana, della politica italiana, della teoria politica e della political economy. E’ editorialista del quotidiano Il Sole 24 Ore e per i suoi articoli ha ricevuto il Premio Altieri Spinelli 2017.

Valentina Meliciani

Valentina Meliciani è Professoressa Ordinaria di Economia Applicata presso l’Università Luiss Guido Carli. Ha conseguito un Master in International Economics presso la Sussex University, un PhD presso SPRU (Sussex University) e un Dottorato presso l’Università di Roma “Tor Vergata”. È stata Professoressa Ordinaria di Politica Economica presso l’Università di Teramo, Visiting Fellow presso SPRU (Sussex University), Visiting Scholar presso l’Università del Minnesota e Visiting Professor presso la London School of Economics. Ha pubblicato su riviste internazionali nei settori dell’economia industriale, internazionale, regionale e nel settore bancario e finanziario. Ha lavorato in progetti di ricerca finanziati dall’UE sui cambiamenti sociali ed economici creati dalla nuova economia basata sull’informazione.
